Sierra Club-Lancaster Group’s Grant Program awards grants to charitable organizations for projects that promote sustainability, expand environmental awareness, and improve green infrastructure. It is the Sierra Club-Lancaster Group’s goal to bring the Club’s mission “to explore, enjoy and protect the planet” to the local level. We also utilize funds that we have raised at the Extraordinary Give in an effort to develop partnerships with other like-minded organizations.
Who is Eligible to Apply?
Any charitable organization that is looking to help create a more environmentally friendly and sustainable Lancaster County. Our current project areas of interest are as follows:
-Water retention / storm water management / rain gardens / rain barrels
-Native Plantings
-Pollinator Plants
-Organic Gardens
-Composting Programs
-Hands-on Education Programs
Other suggestions are always welcome.
Grant Amount
Annual grants up to $500 a year.
Submission Process
Due Date: Applications must be submitted by March 31, 2026.
