Running for the 2025-2027 Term

Kyki Bobotas

I have been a member of the Lancaster Group since the early ’90’s.  Over the years I have been active with various committees including Education, Membership, Annual Polar Bear 5K Race and Hike, and have served on the ExCom in the past.  I grew up in Lycoming County and spent time in nature at a family cabin along Pine Creek and on camping trips. I enjoy hiking, skiing, lounging by the beach and just being outdoors in general. I have participated in educational programs, hikes, tree plantings, parades and cleanups with the Lancaster Group. I think it’s important to encourage individuals to take action, however small, to explore, enjoy, and protect our environment and Mother Earth. It’s the only one we have.

Jane Druce

I feel it is important to teach younger generations to love and protect the natural world. I grew up along the Yellow Breeches Creek and enjoyed canoeing, boating, fishing, and swimming. As a teacher, I emphasized environmental awareness and practices such as having a verma-composter in class, recycling, and reducing waste. As a mother of two grown boys, I continue to follow environmental practices such as organic gardening, using rain barrels, and buying local. For the past twelve years I have served on the ExCom and chaired its Education Committee. I have enjoyed bringing more awareness to the public about our organization. I recently received my outings training and am now the outings leader for our group in addition to co-chair.

Tracy Daniels

I spent my childhood wandering the woods of Massachusetts where I developed my love of the outdoors. I came to Lancaster County to attend Franklin & Marshall College and have never left. I have had the pleasure of being a member of Sierra Club – Lancaster Group since 2010. I am now also involved in the State (Chapter) Executive Committee. In the past 14 years, I have worked with every committee, am currently the co-chair of the Chapter, and you may have received an email or two from me over the years. If re-elected, I look forward to helping Lancaster Countians explore, enjoy and protect our environment.

Debbie Meenan

I was raised in King of Prussia, PA, and during my high school years moved to Lancaster County where I graduated from Manheim Township High School.  I love animals and want to protect their natural environments, the well-being of our planet, and the resources that we have left.  I believe that the preservation of the Earth and the quality of our water need to be a main focus of the environmental movement. I would appreciate your vote for Executive Committee member of the Sierra Club – Lancaster Group.

Carter Farmer

Advocacy was always a priority for Carter, and conservation importance came sharply into focus for her as a teenager after the 2000 presidential election. Born in Lancaster, she then received a BFA from NYU with the intention of advocacy through the arts, but has since returned to Lancaster and changed careers, pursuing further education and work in conservation research and practice. Carter has held leadership and support roles in other nonprofits locally and regionally, such as United Way of Lancaster County, the Wheelchair Sports federation, Lancaster Herpetological Society, and Lancaster Theological Seminary. Members may know her from her Pennsylvania bats and citizen science presentation in November 2019. With deep respect and appreciation for the Lancaster Sierra Club and its leadership, Carter is eager to bring her diverse background and experience to the committee in hopes of furthering and deepening the club’s impact and collaboration.
